Global Media Relations is part of Group Communications & Sustainability within the Corporate Center. Our mission is to protect and strengthen the company’s global reputation while driving integrated and impactful communication across all divisions and functions.
As the team responsible for all press-related matters of the Group, we ensure a clear and consistent “One-Voice” policy worldwide. We engage with journalists and media representatives around the globe, while also advising the Board of Management, leadership, and business units on effective communication strategies.
The Global Media Relations team consists of teams in Bonn/Germany as well as Singapore, UK and Americas. The Global Team in Bonn is made up of four teams of media spokespeople, the DHL team, the Post and Parcel team, the Corporate Issues team and the Communications Planning & Steering Team. The trainee will get an insight into the work of all teams, primarily contributing to the Communications Planning & Steering and Corporate Issues team.

Your tasks

• Organize and critically review planned media engagements
• Get an inside into external media work
• by supporting media events
• writing press releases and other media collaterals
• developing communication campaigns and plans
• research background information to current media topics
• Get an insight into internal, external and digital media mechanics

Your profile

• Minimum Bachelor Graduation in field of Media & Communication, Journalism or similar before October 1st, 2026
• First professional experiences (up to 3 years) in editorial work/journalistic background
• “Scompler” planning tool (can be learned on the job, but upfront experience always helps)
• Fluent English skills; fluent German skills
• Office 365 skills
• Strong communication skills , proactive, collaborative team player , flexible and adaptable in dynamic environments , open-minded and eager to learn
