Job Purpose
The Senior Manager Process Excellence leads the successful adoption of the global OFR standard process and solution landscape within the region for the assigned scope of work. Guides and supports countries by providing expert analysis of processes, collecting valuable feedback, and collaborating with stakeholders to develop effective improvement roadmaps. Drives high performance in terms of productivity, quality, effectiveness, and high customer satisfaction. Monitors compliance with regulations and standards, ensuring that business practices align with relevant government, industry, and company rules. Drives a culture of collaboration and change management to facilitate smooth adoption and implementation of the global standard, ultimately achieving operational excellence within the region.

- Strong stakeholder management capabilities with various stakeholder levels (senior management to operator), to lead projects to completion, effectively overcome resistance and manage change.
- Ability to apply project / process management methodologies to drive processes improvements / solve complex issues e.g. First Choice, Agile methodologies
- Ability to independently manage larger, complex initiatives and to deliver against them – managing effectively multiple parallel initiatives.
- Good understanding of and strong network in the forwarding industry, the OFR organization and related DPDHL departments
- Solutions-oriented, customer-centric mind-set to identify and drive relevant improvements.
- Ability to reflect, act as an ideation partner and offer concrete solutions to support the engineering of the ocean freight organization's future.
- Subject matter expert who applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of the global standard for assigned topics by:
- Continuously analyzing existing processes, workflows, trainings, KPI, GSC services, solutions, systems to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collecting requirements / feedback / best practices from the countries with regards to the above, and providing those to the global process excellence and solutions delivery teams
- Supporting the global requirement prioritization process.
- Drive country adoption of global processes and solutions: collaborate effectively with countries in scope to develop country improvement roadmaps, focusing on achieving operational excellence in line with global standard, and follow up on the roadmap execution. (partially travelling on-site)
- Drive improvement OFR operations key performance indicators (KPIs). Effectively collaborate with countries to enable them to self-steer and continuously improve based on available measurements.
- Continuously monitor compliance and ensure our business practices and processes are compliant with all relevant government, industry and company rules and regulations
- Foster collaboration and change management: Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to gain support for process improvement initiatives and drive change management efforts.
Stakeholders
- Work closely with the country OFR Operations Organization to drive improvements, solution adoption and process adherence
- Build strong, trusting cross-functional relationships and collaborate effectively with other functions on global and regional level (e.g. OFR Growht/Trade, Sales, Finance, IT, AFR etc.)
- Understand key stakeholders’ interests and concerns and advise accordingly.
- Influence / support decisions by Senior Management
- May cooperate with and coordinate 3rd parties e.g. external service providers
Management Responsibility
For Senior Specialist Professional:
- Individual contributor who may manage two or fewer employees
- May direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs
- Coach, review and delegate work to lower level professionals
For Team Leader:
- Supervise professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some non-professional employees
