We are seeking a Senior Marketing Manager (m/f/d) for our Global Head Office in Bonn - limited 2 years

In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for our Salesforce Marketing Cloud ecosystem, helping to drive the evolution of our global marketing automation capabilities. You will work closely with Sales, IT, and further stakeholders to deliver scalable, data-driven marketing programs that enhance customer engagement, improve lead generation, and support business growth across Europe.

You combine creativity and strategic thinking with hands-on execution, translating business needs into automated marketing journeys and digital customer experiences.

Your key responsibilities:

• Act as the subject matter expert for Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, representing marketing requirements within cross-functional project teams and collaborating closely with IT, Sales, project management, and external stakeholders.

• Gather, define, prioritize, and translate business and marketing requirements into scalable marketing automation solutions, customer journeys, and campaign processes.

• Design, implement, manage, and continuously optimize automated marketing journeys, email communications, lead nurturing programs, segmentation strategies, and campaign workflows within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

• Develop, execute, and localize integrated marketing campaigns in collaboration with regional and country marketing teams, providing guidance, best practices, and platform expertise to drive business growth and engagement.

• Drive content creation and creative development, ensuring a compelling and consistent brand experience across all touchpoints.

• Localize and activate campaigns together with regional teams, providing clear guidance, tools and best practices.

• Monitor and analyze campaign performance, engagement metrics, lead conversion, funnel effectiveness, and marketing ROI, deriving insights and recommendations for continuous optimization.

• Own marketing automation governance, documentation, quality assurance, user acceptance testing (UAT), and business sign-off processes to ensure compliant and high-quality execution.

• Partner closely with Sales to optimize lead management, lead scoring, nurturing workflows, and lead handover processes, ensuring alignment across the customer lifecycle.

• Drive continuous improvement, innovation, user enablement, and knowledge sharing to further develop the platform, increase adoption, and maximize marketing effectiveness across the organization.

Our perfect match:

• Degree in Marketing, Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Digital Marketing, Information Systems, or a comparable qualification

• 5+ years of experience in marketing automation, CRM marketing, digital marketing, or marketing technology roles within an international B2B environment.

• Hands-on experience with marketing automation platforms, ideally Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Account Engagement

• Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing, lead management, lead nurturing, segmentation, and campaign automation

• A creative allrounder with a strong conceptual mindset, excellent execution skills and a passion for compelling storytelling.

• Structured, proactive, and solution-oriented working style with a strong hands-on mentality.

• Strong stakeholder management, communication and collaboration skills across seniority levels and cultures.

• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.
