RESEARCH SCIENTIST - Internet of Things

The “Communication Systems” (KOM) department develops complex hardware and software systems for the efficient use, reconnaissance, and disruption of communication systems. Based on a profound understanding of the requirements of real-world operational scenarios, concepts, methods, and functional prototypes are created and, together with national and international partners, developed into practical solutions.

At our site in Wachtberg, we are looking for a Research Scientist in the field of Internet of Things at the earliest possible date.

Be part of change

• You will actively contribute to research in the field of Internet of Military Things, focusing in particular on the development of data pipelines and gateways for heterogeneous networks and cyber-physical systems.

• A key aspect of your work will be the implementation of national and international projects, especially within the context of EDA and EDF.

• In addition, you will prepare reports and project proposals and document the results achieved.

• You will also author scientific publications and present your work at professional conferences such as IEEE MILCOM or ICMSIS.

What you contribute

• Successfully completed academic degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a comparable field, ideally with a focus on Distributed Systems, Cyber-Physical Systems, or the Internet of Things

• Solid knowledge in data acquisition and data analysis

• Advanced programming skills in Python, C/C++ or Go

• Willingness to undertake national and international business travel, particularly within Europe

• A strong enthusiasm for technology and research, combined with initiative, a reliable and scientifically sound working style, as well as very good written and spoken German and English skills.
