We are looking for an experienced and inspiring Head of Health & Safety to lead the development, implementation and continuous improvement of our Health & Safety program across DHL Freight.

This is a full-time position based in Europe, location flexible.

In this role, you will be responsible for driving DHL Freight's Health & Safety agenda, across all countries and functions. You will drive a culture where safety is embedded into every business decision, operational process and leadership behavior.

Your key responsibilities in this role:

• Define and drive DHL Freight's Health & Safety framework, standards and governance framework across an international network
• Foster a strong safety culture by partnering with leaders at all levels to embed safety into everyday operations and decision-making.
• Monitor and improve Health & Safety performance through effective use of KPIs, data analytics and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, ISO 45001 requirements and DHL Group standards across diverse regulatory environments.
• Lead the review of significant incidents, identify root causes and drive preventative actions and organizational learning.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the network of Country Health & Safety Managers, promoting best-practice sharing and capability development.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on Health & Safety risks, trends and strategic priorities.
• Building strong partnerships across DHL divisions and supporting harmonization of safety standards across the wider DHL Group where appropriate.

Our perfect match:

• Extensive experience in Health & Safety leadership within a complex operational environment.
• Proven ability to drive safety culture, performance improvement and organizational change.
• Demonstrating capability to manage complex, multi-country and multi-business-unit environments.
• Expertise in Health & Safety Management Systems, particularly ISO 45001.
• Professional Health & Safety certification (e.g. NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) preferred.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are a plus.
• Strong data, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Microsoft 365 skills.
• Exceptional communication and influencing abilities, with experience working across cultures and in matrix organizations.
• Lead Auditor qualification or comparable auditing experience is advantageous.
